Aesthetically, Shinola stores are designed to combine a timeless look with modern amenities. The main challenge for Sachse Construction was to minimize the appearance of the modern renovations. The design of the stores forced the project team to develop creative solutions.

Close communication with Shinola, the architect, and the project team allowed the modern renovations to fit fluidly with the design of each store. Creative, out-of-the-box thinking resulted in the desired classic feel of the stores. For example, the project team planned and routed modern ductwork in a way that was most efficient for a store, and also maintained its historical appearance. This same kind of thinking resulted in a timely closeout. All of the renovations and new buildouts at the Shinola locations were successful and received tremendous community support. Placed in many up-and-coming cities, Sachse Construction was thrilled to contribute to store and community restoration.
