Sachse Construction was selected as the general contractor for the Museum of Illusions Detroit, marking the franchise’s highly anticipated debut in Michigan. Located within a challenging 120-year-old building, this 17,000 sq. ft. interior fit-out required specialized technical execution and precise coordination to bring the museum’s captivating world of optical illusions to life.
The project included a highly precise exhibit build-out, including feature rooms like the Reverse Room with its upside-down furniture. Furthermore, Sachse navigated a major logistical constraint: a 6-hour time difference with the client, necessitating disciplined, accelerated communication to prevent critical path delays.
The finished project is a testament to Sachse Construction’s ability to manage complex logistics and exacting precision, resulting in a visually stunning, fully functional entertainment space that is a new landmark in Detroit.
