Sachse Construction managed the buildout of Under Armour’s new retail store in Detroit, Michigan. Located in the historic Kresge Building, the two-story space overlooks Woodward Avenue.

The project included core and shell work along with the renovation of historic interior features to both modernize the building and preserve its character. Upgrades included new mechanical and electrical systems, specialized casework such as a lighted shoe display, and a comprehensive lighting package. The Under Armour store also featured several unique finishes, including a wood accent wall near the fitting rooms and shoe-fitting area, as well as sports-themed murals throughout.

Sachse Construction also restored the original staircase handrail, returning it to its polished brass and metal finish.
