Sachse Construction was proud to serve as the construction manager for Kintsugi Village, an inspiring adaptive reuse project that transformed the former St. Vincent Middle School in Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood into a vibrant, community-serving campus.

This multifaceted redevelopment housed a tuition-free early childhood education center designed to support local families, along with an artist incubator, culinary programs, a community garden, and rooftop and event space.

Through thoughtful renovation and community-first design, Sachse Construction helped breathe new life into the historic structure, ensuring it could once again serve as a vital resource and gathering place for generations to come.
