The groundbreaking project to establish the first AC Hotel in southeast Michigan involves transforming the iconic Bonstelle Theatre in Detroit. The project includes the construction of an 11-story, 153-room hotel with a rooftop bar accompanied by the meticulous restoration of the adjacent Bonstelle Theatre. This historic structure, originally designed by renowned architect Albert Kahn in 1903 for the Beth El Society, holds a rich cultural and architectural heritage.
The hotel will feature 153 rooms across ten stories, offering a contemporary and sophisticated accommodation experience. Simultaneously, the adjacent theatre building will undergo extensive renovations to be used for live performances and events. The project is expected to be completed in December 2024.
