Sachse Construction completed an 11,000-square-foot office buildout for Detroit Venture Partners at 1520 Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit. The space features a range of high-end finishes, including thousands of feet of reclaimed wood and more than five miles of wood strips installed along the ceiling. To enhance connectivity and collaboration, the team cut an opening in the third floor to install a feature staircase framed by custom metal railings, creating an easy flow between the two levels.

Because the building lacked a freight elevator, the project team engineered a custom hoisting system to lift materials through second- and third-floor windows in the rear alley. Scaffolding was constructed along the alleyway to ensure safe pedestrian passage throughout the duration of the work.

The completed office provides Detroit Venture Partners with a unique, collaborative environment that celebrates craftsmanship and supports the fast-paced, innovative culture of their team.
