The Residences at 200 Edmund is one of the signature buildings within City Modern, the transformative redevelopment of Detroit’s historic Brush Park neighborhood. Designed as part of a larger master plan, 200 Edmund contributes to City Modern’s vision of a vibrant, walkable community that blends contemporary architecture with the area’s rich historic character.
This four-story, mixed-use building features 35 modern residential units thoughtfully designed for urban living, along with 4,605 square feet of ground-floor retail that activates the streetscape and supports neighborhood businesses. High-quality finishes, efficient layouts, and abundant natural light create a welcoming home environment for residents seeking modern amenities within a historic setting.
As one of several new buildings that collectively add more than 400 residential units to Brush Park, 200 Edmund plays an essential role in strengthening the fabric of the community. Its integration of residential and retail uses supports City Modern’s broader goals of walkability, density, and neighborhood connectivity. The building’s design reflects the development’s commitment to thoughtful planning, sustainability, and community-centered urban living.
Through its architecture, functionality, and place within the overall master plan, 200 Edmund stands as a key contributor to the continued resurgence of Brush Park and the reactivation of one of Detroit’s most storied neighborhoods.
