Sachse Construction was proud to partner on the development of the American Indian Health and Family Services building, a vital facility designed to serve both Native American communities and local residents. The project focused on delivering comprehensive health and wellness services within a culturally integrated environment, blending modern medical practices with traditional healing approaches. The facility was envisioned as a testament to holistic care, community well-being, and cultural preservation. Key elements of the project included:
Comprehensive, Culturally Integrated Healthcare:
A seamless integration of Western medical practices with traditional healing methods formed the foundation of the care model, supporting a holistic approach to patient health.
Cultural Design Elements:
Architectural and interior features incorporated meaningful cultural expressions, including:
• Birch trees as a symbolic natural element
• Grandfather Teachings—wisdom, love, respect, bravery, honesty, humility, and truth—embedded into the building’s ethos and visual narrative
• A donor wall honoring supporters and reinforcing the spirit of community involvement
Outdoor Spaces:
Dedicated outdoor areas were planned to accommodate cultural events and youth activities, strengthening community engagement and maintaining a strong connection to nature.
