For nearly 30 years, community give-back has been at the heart of everything we do at Sachse Construction. As a Detroit-based general contractor, we strive to partner with local not-for-profit organizations that align with our mission to invest in youth, workforce, development, and community through partnerships, philanthropy, and volunteerism.

This work is a source of pride for our entire Sachse Construction team, and we’re thrilled to share a snapshot of our favorite 2023 team-led initiatives

Workforce Development 

• Hosted the 9th Annual Sachse Construction Academy for Detroit high school students
• Participated in a three-month Ace Mentor Program
• Provided college visit tours for Downtown Boxing Gym students
• Introduced Detroit YMCA Young Achievers to career opportunities in the skilled trades
• Judged student inventors at the Invention Convention U.S. National Competition 
• Organized a three-day Skilled Trades Summer Camp for Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (in partnership with Atlantic Impact) 
• Donated scholarships for students attending Southeastern Michigan Construction Academy

Additional highlights from 2023 include receiving The Inaugural Jordan Award from The Konnection for our support of the organization and the launch of Hard Hats for Detroit, a charity art auction in partnership with local artists to benefit the Downtown Boxing Gym, Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan, and The Konnection.

Through a combination of support through team fundraising and volunteer campaigns, we’re proud to have surpassed $33K in impact to make a difference in Detroit.
