West Elm – Lancaster, Pennsylvania
LONG-STANDING RETAIL CLIENT
LANDLORD & TENANT WORK AT OUTLET MALL STOREFRONT
Sachse Construction was hired as the general contractor for a West Elm store in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The scope of work included tenant improvements to a 20,989-square-foot retail space.
West Elm wished to relocate from one outlet mall to a neighboring outlet mall, approximately two miles away. Due to project phasing, the Sachse Construction team was also awarded landlord work that began first and eventually overlapped with the tenant work.
Sachse Construction installed a dock leveler at the rear of the building. This brought challenges as all deliveries occur in this area. The team carefully coordinated alongside neighboring tenants as well as the outlet mall management team to ensure deliveries for this client or other tenants were not disrupted or delayed.
This logistical coordination sparked conversations that led to additional projects in the same outlet mall. While in the area, Sachse Construction was able to service an existing Client, Williams Sonoma Inc. They also established a new relationship with Tanger Outlets where these West Elm and Williams Sonoma stores are located.
Both West Elm and Tanger Outlets were very satisfied with the Sachse Construction team’s professionalism and quality of work at the West Elm location in Lancaster, PA. Another successful project for an existing client and another budding working relationship with a new one.
