Sachse Construction was hired to oversee the renovation of an existing coffee shop into the Roasted Bean within the MGM Grand Detroit Casino. The project consisted of demolition, millwork, drywall, flooring, and electrical work. Some components of the original coffee shop were preserved and reused for the Roasted Bean, including the countertops and light fixtures. Additionally, new doors and flooring were installed along with a Detroit-themed mural.

This project was unique in that there was an established design in mind, but no drawings to follow. The Sachse Construction project team quickly hired design specialist DS Architects to assist in the architectural components of this project. DS Architects completed the drawings and assisted with the overall design. The project team’s rapid solution allowed the project to move forward quickly and with ease.

Sachse Construction successfully completed the Roasted Bean on-time and within budget. Due to the scrupulous organization and fluid communication among all parties involved, potential issues were addressed immediately, which led to minimal challenges throughout the course of the project.
