Gucci – Portland Pioneer Place
A DESIRED NEW SPACE FOR A DESIRED FASHION BRAND
LUXURY RETAIL SPACE BUILDOUT
Gucci sought to build another high-end retail location at Pioneer Place in Portland, OR and hired their trusted general contractor, Sachse Construction. The project team was tasked with converting three retail spaces into one 6,700-square-foot store at one of Portland’s premier shopping destinations in its bustling business district.
With an eye for detail, the team inspected the plans prior to construction and realized the plans did not match the layout of the space. Therefore, the architect revised the drawings and Sachse Construction began demolition.
During construction, the project team cut a 15-foot-by-15-foot square out of the floor to install a new staircase and dumbwaiter. With this new opening, the project team was able to relocate the mall’s main condensate lines and conduits through the stair opening.
The team also worked closely with a designer in Italy to plan every detail of the store’s millwork. These details included everything from measurements to design and eventually installation.
As part of a national program of Gucci projects, this location was another successful delivery for the Sachse Construction and Gucci teams. To learn more about this national program, visit this page on our website.
