Fifth Third Bank
Not Your Typical Banking Headquarters
A Vibrant Office Suite
Sachse Construction performed a selective demolition on the 25th floor and a complete gut of the 26th floor of One Woodward Ave., to accommodate the new Fifth Third Bank headquarters.
The project team worked vigorously to complete all renovations to the historic 24,000-square-foot space for the new Fifth Third Bank headquarters within a 14-week timeframe.
Unlike traditional banking headquarters, Fifth Third Bank’s new suite is modern and vibrant: bright colors accent the collaborative spaces which consist of open desks and pod chairs, replacing the 60 private offices utilized in their former headquarters. Additionally, the space promotes both a greener and healthier place of work for employees. In lieu of having private offices, employees have designated lockers for their belongings, and can decide their working station each day upon arriving to work. This helped reduced the amount of paper printed in the office by two-thirds, and also empowers employees to select a work area based on their preference for the day. Additionally, computer stations are mounted to treadmills to promote health and productivity within the organization.
