Historic Renovations in Downtown Detroit

Building for Inspired Tenants

Once occupied by the Detroit branch of the Federal Reserve, the historic Federal Reserve Building in downtown Detroit is now home to various companies making their mark on the city.

Sachse Construction renovated the exterior and interior while performing tenant improvements. The scope included a façade renovation, the transformation of the main lobby into a grand two-story entrance, and the installation of a bridge connecting to an adjacent parking structure. Other additions included new glass and glazing as well as the installation of a new curtain wall.

Along with the interior and exterior renovations, Sachse Construction worked with Gannett-DMP on their sixth-floor headquarter relocation; Rossetti Architects to construct their fourth-floor office complete with a rooftop patio; and with Quicken Loans to build a bright fulfillment center inside the building’s original basement vault.
