EMU First Year Center Façade Renovation
A Fresh Face
Sachse Construction managed tenant improvements to Eastern Michigan University’s First Year Center Complex (“The Center”) facade in Ypsilanti, MI. The Center refers to four buildings: Phelps, Putnam, Sellers, and Walters Halls.
The project consisted of the replacement of fenestration systems, and the installation of new entrances. Canopies with colored lighting were created for the entrances to modernize the aesthetics of the 1960’s buildings. Sachse Construction also extended the stairwells with glass chambers to give depth to the buildings.
