SUCCESS AT CITY MODERN
GROUND-UP CONSTRUCTION OF A MODERN RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

City Modern is a mixed-use development that is transforming the Brush Park neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan. As part of the City Modern development, the building contributes to the 400+ new residential units throughout Brush Park. Sachse Construction was tasked with constructing a four-story, 10-unit apartment building on Alfred Street in Detroit, MI. The team worked closely with the owner-architect to plan every detail of the project. The scope of work included the new construction of a residential apartment building in the Brush Park neighborhood.

Starting at the garden level, the team poured concrete foundations and walls with three stories of wood-framed construction above. The exterior was made up of metal and cementitious wall panels. Detached from the building was a three-stall, six-car parking garage for residents.
