Bright Side Dental

Dentist Office Buildout

Dental Building Checkup and Cleaning

Sachse Construction managed the construction of Brightside Dental in Indianapolis, IN. The project was a unique older space for a dental building, which was quaint and had character and attraction. Sachse Construction completely demolished and renovated the office space, including a 2,000 square foot addition to the existing building. Major systems renovations included electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Sachse Construction also installed a new parking lot and sidewalks.

The project had a few key challenges. The bulk of the demolition and renovation work took place during the winter. Special accommodations were made to ensure workers were safe in the cold temperatures, including warming breaks as well as sequencing work to enclose the space as quickly as possible.

A second challenge was the discovery that half of the building had metal framing and the other half had wood framing. This caused an unexpected modification in the plans, as keeping two types of framing wasn’t an option. To resolve the framing issue, the design and construction teams came to the solution of adding steel garters and beams underneath to support the metal and wood frames would be most reliable and safe.

The project was successfully completed on time and within budget, and the client was extremely satisfied with their new space. Sachse has also completed a buildout for Brightside Dental in Ann Arbor, MI.
